libsparsehash-dev software package provides Googles extremely memory-efficient C++ hash_map implementation, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsparsehash-dev
libsparsehash-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsparsehash-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsparsehash-dev *
You will get with libsparsehash-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
